Starkey’s proprietary Mutiflex Tinnitus Technology tackles the subjective nature of tinnitus head-on. It enables hearing professionals to customize a sound stimulus designed to relieve each patient’s unique tinnitus.

Step 1: Identify the tinnitus

The first step is to identify the type of tinnitus your patient experiences. This can be determined through a combination of counseling, a standard hearing test, and a tinnitus assessment tool (we recommend the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory).

Step 2: shape the tinnitus stimulus

Inspire fitting software automatically uses a “best-fit” tinnitus algorithm to intelligently set the tinnitus stimulus according to the patient’s audiogram. In a high percentage of cases, this is all that is needed to provide personalized relief.
