The Starkey Experience
Every day you open up a world of sound for your patients. At Starkey we are proud to assist you — by providing your patients with the most technologically advanced hearing devices available — and by providing you unparalleled support, training and assistance. Everything we do helps people experience more: more communication, more participation, more of what they love to do. We are fortunate to be able to touch so many people — and to have you as our professional partner. When you partner with us, you will notice a difference.
Five Decades Of Innovation
From our humble beginnings as a hearing aid repair shop, Starkey has done things differently. Our focus is not just manufacturing hearing aids, it's improving the hearing lives of people around the world. To this end, we have created the most advanced Research and Development department in the industry and continue to make life-changing advances year after year. Starkey firsts include the first in-canal hearing aid, the first CIC hearing aid, the first hearing aid with nanotechnology and the first real-ear measurement integrated directly into a hearing device.
Breakthroughs Come In All Shapes And Sizes — Especially Small
Our latest innovations in hearing aid design create an unparalleled listening experience while eliminating some of the most frustrating characteristics of older hearing aids. For the first time ever, hearing aids are virtually feedback-free. Our nanotechnology also allowed us to incorporate automatic telephone recognition across a full line of hearing aids.
Researching The Future
At the Starkey Hearing Research Center in Berkeley, CA, our researchers explore the medical and technological breakthroughs of the future. Research conducted at the Center is focused on two primary tracks: auditory perceptual science — how the auditory system perceives sound — and signal processing technology — how hearing aids can modify sound to enhance auditory perception. Working with leading researchers and universities around the world, Starkey continues to seek ways to better understand the science of hearing loss and its impact on auditory perception and cognition, so we can continue developing the technology to improve it.
Never Technology For Technology's Sake
At Starkey, our renowned evidence-based philosophy ensures that product changes will always be based in solid research and patient needs. By incorporating both internal and peer-reviewed research into the development process we ensure that patient benefit drives every design. You won't see extraneous features or updates just for technology's sake. If it doesn't improve the hearing lives of your patients — or improve the fitting process for professionals — we don't do it.
Always Willing To Back It Up
We are committed to benchmarking all claims and product research. As the industry leader, we thoroughly test our products internally and then against other hearing aids. If we make a claim, we'll back it up and make our findings public.
Our "Made-Just-For-You" Approach
At Starkey, we know the art and science of hearing better than anyone else. From earmolds to custom devices, our made-for-you mentality is behind every hearing aid we create — even our standard products. All of our devices are tested clinically and in the real world to help you fit the most comfortable and personalized hearing aids on the market. Starkey is also known for our willingness to try difficult fittings when others won't. At our Center for Excellence in Minnesota, we routinely solve challenging issues for patients referred by our hearing professional partners.
More Technicians Creating More Hearing Aids
Walk through Starkey and you'll see hundreds of technicians creating hearing devices for patients. In fact, we have the fastest turnaround times in the industry while still maintaining the industry's highest standards for quality. When more challenging problems arise, our technicians collaborate with our Center For Excellence to develop the best hearing solution for your patient.
Better Diagnostic Tools For A Better Fit
A truly custom fit begins with an accurate understanding of your patient's ear. In recent years, Starkey has integrated breakthrough features directly into hearing aids and fitting software, allowing professionals to quickly and accurately conduct audiological best practices like real-ear measurement and live speech mapping without additional equipment. If we identify a need for a new diagnostic tool in a certain area, we have the resources and expertise to invent it.

When you become a Starkey partner, you have the expertise and resources of a world leading hearing technology company behind you. We have a long history of supporting individual practitioners. From comprehensive practice management and technology training to complete marketing programs, it is our goal to help you in any way we can. Global Outreach Requires A Global Presence
Starkey is an international hearing technology company. We employ more than 4,800 people, operate 21 facilities in more than 100 markets throughout North America, South America, Central America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Foundation Expands Starkey's Mission
Bill Austin built Starkey Hearing Foundation on the mission, So the World May Hear. The Foundation uses hearing as a vehicle to reflect caring and help people reach their full potential. Starkey Hearing Foundation has cared for more than 1.1 million patients and provided 1.9 million hearing devices in more than 100 countries, and has committed to giving more than one million hearing aids to people in need over the next decade. The Foundation also promotes hearing health awareness and education through the Listen Carefully™ program, and provides hearing instruments to low-income Americans through the daily efforts of the Hear Now program.
Outreach Missions All Over The World, All Year Long
There's nothing like the tears streaming down a mother's face as her son is finally able to hear her say, "I love you," or a young girl's laughter when the world of sound opens to her. Hearing loss affects more than 63 million children worldwide, yet many do not have access to the hearing care that can help them. Starkey Hearing Foundation, a charity founded by William F. Austin, gives the gift of hearing to people in need in the U.S. and around the world.
